Recommendation Letter Request (Strict Policy)
If I am writing a recommendation letter for you, you must submit your request by email using the exact format below.
Required Authorization
- Before sending a request, you must have received from me your assigned ID.
- Before sending a request, you must have received confirmation of your approved sender email address.
Required Email Format
Send an email from your approved sender address using this exact format:
To: chenglong.ye@uky.edu
From: your_approved_email@domain.edu
Subject: REC_SEND ID=pc001 EMAIL=destination_email@university.edu
Body: (blank)
Those colored in red in the template should be replaced.
Strict Security and Destination Policy
- Requests are accepted only when the ID is valid and active.
- Requests are accepted only when the sender email matches my approved record for that ID.
- Personal destination emails are not allowed (including Gmail, Yahoo, Outlook, iCloud, etc.).
- The destination must be an official institutional/program address (for example, admissions, graduate coordinator, department office, HR/recruiting contact at an organization).
- Requests that violate format or policy are automatically rejected.
Submission Rules
- One request per email.
- Use only final, correct destination addresses.
- If your destination contact changes, email me first for approval before resubmitting.
Processing
Valid requests are processed through an automated system and sent directly to the approved destination email.
