1987 (June 3-4), conference Hugolin Gavlovic v dejinach slovenskej kultury, (Hugolin Gavlovic in Slovak Cultural History), sponsored by the Literarnovedny ustav Slovenskej akademie vied (The Literary Institute of the Slovak Academy of Sciences) in Bratislava and by Matica slovenska (The Slovak Cultural Foundation) in Martin in recognition of the UNESCO anniversary of Gavlovic’s death; the conference was held in Povazska Bystrica, Slovakia; a Slovak-language paper entitled “Gavlovic a Stobaeus” was published in 1989 as noted below.
